OAHU CHARITY WALK
The 32nd Annual VISITOR INDUSTRY CHARITY WALK will be on
MAY 15, 2010 (traditionally the 3rd Saturday in May).

Walker forms can be obtained at many lodging properties on Oahu or by contacting the HHLA office directly at hhla@hawaiihotels.org Be sure to include your name, company name, address (to include your city and zipcode) and the number of forms. Please note that we only mail out a maximum of 20 forms per street address. You can also contact us by calling (808) 923-0407. Remember, you do not have to work in a hotel or be part of the visitor industry to participate in the Visitor Industry Charity Walk. Anyone can walk!
The application period for 2009 Charity Walk Allocations is from March 1st to May 29, 2009. Funding for the 2009 Chairty Walk is closed. Non Profits may apply for the 2010 Charity Walk Allocations begining on March 1, 2010. Non Profit 501(c)(3) charities are eligible to apply for Charity Walk funding. Charities are not pre-determined prior to the Charity Walk and all Charities must APPLY for funds. Non-profit organizations are eligible to receive funds for three (3) consecutive years. After which they must sit out one year to be eligible for funds again. Please note that it is the ENTIRE organization that will be ineligible, and not just the program that received funding. Allocations range in size up to a TOTAL of $10,000 PER ORGANIZATION (NOT per program). This is the combined total amount of all programs each individual organization or group is seeking funds for. Allocations of more than $10,000 per organization will be considered on special and rare occasions.
